I first discovered this drink in a pub called the "Boston Exchange" in Leeds which was part of the "Exchange Bar & Grill" chain. Sadly it has since closed down, but my tweaked version of this excellent cocktail lives on.

Preparation

  1. Pour a shot of midori into the bottom of a pint glass
  2. Fill the glass with ice cubes
  3. Pour a shot of vodka over the ice cubes gently - it should settle on top of the midori
  4. Pour an equal mix of orange juice and cranberry juice over the ice until the glass is just over ¾ full
  5. Pour cherry brandy in a circular motion onto the ice, 3 "rings" should be approx 1 shot
  6. Pour 3 quick rings of redbull (approx 1 shot)
  7. Top off with 3 quick rings of galliano (approx 1 shot)
  8. Put a straw into the glass and serve

Notes

  • The original recipe used pineapple juice instead of orange juice. The pineapple juice used was sweet and much less sharp than normal pineapple juice and I've found people prefer the drink with orange. If you can get sweet pineapple juice then you can try with that.
